Kenya will definitely not be looking to be reminded any time soon about the 2025 World Athletics Indoor Championships.

The country posted a disappointing display in Nanjing, China all through the weekend, winning no medals at all; representing an extremely disappointing display from the nine-person squad that traveled to China.

Kenya's only medal hopes left on Sunday were carried by Susan Lokayo Ejore who took part in the 1500 metres women's final but she finished a disappointing fifth with a time of 4.03.89.

Ethiopia's Gudaf Tsegay won the race with a time of 3.54.86, a championship record.

On Saturday, Kenya's Purity Gitonga and Cornelius Korir also failed to finish in the medal places in the 3000 metres final for both men and women.

In the 800 metres event, Noah Kibet and Alex Ngeno both failed to qualify for the final after finishing fourth in their semi-finals on Saturday.

Kibet finished fourth in semi-final one, with a time of 1.48.90, behind the USA's Josh Hoey 1.45.23 and Uganda's Tom Dradriga who managed 1.46.98.

Ngeno too finished fourth in his semi-final, with a time of 1.47.53.

He was behind the USA's Brandon Miller who came top with a time of 1.46.84. Simon Chapple from the Netherlands was second.

In the women's segment, Lilian Odira finished last in heat three with a time of 2.6.12 to miss the final slot. Ethiopia's Tsige Duguma and Nigist Tegachew finished first and second to qualify for the final.

It means Kenya will have no representation in the 800M final, with Vivian Chebet having been eliminated already.

Dorcas Ewoi failed to travel to China due to issues with documentation as such missing the 1500M. In the Men's 1500, Kenya's Festus Lagat also failed to make the final after finishing fourth in his heat.

The United States finished top of the standings with six gold medals, four silver, and another six bronze. Norway were second with three gold, with Ethiopia third with two gold.
